The studio is operated by professional saxophone/flute instructor Igor Babich. He has over thirty years of of teaching and performing experience.

Igor was born in Vitebsk, Belarus. He started on his first instrument, the piano, when he was five and had a chance to go to Children's Music School for several years. He picked up flute at the age of fifteen while attending Vitebsk Music College. At the age of nineteen, he moved to Minsk, where continued his education at the Belarusian State Academy of Music. In 1984 Igor was drafted into the army and spent two years as a flute/saxophone player then as a military band conductor. After the serving his time in the army Igor continued his education at the Belarusian State Academy of Music. He has obtained a diploma of Vitebsk Music College and a Bachelor of Music degree from Belarusian State Academy of Music in Minsk, where he studied flute and saxophone. ​​

Before going freelance, he spent over thirty years playing with a variety of professional bands.

Igor moved to Canada in 2004 and since then shared a stage with Roberto Occhipinti, Bill King, Alexis Baro, Mark Kelso, Rosendo Chendy León Arocha, Kevin Laliberte, Stan Fomin, Amanda Martinez, Alberto Alberto, Cassava Latin band and Coldjack band.​

In 2004, he founded his Saxophone & Flute Studio and Babich Music Entertainment company which is successfully run till this day. For two years Igor was a saxophone and flute instructor at the Earl Haig Secondary School. From 2013 until 2020 as saxophone and band instructor at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre. From 2020 Igor resides in Niagara Falls.
